A scarce fancy hand blown whiskey flask from Ottawa, Illinois.....

THE COURT JAKE C.ZELLER FINE WINES & WHISKEYS OTTAWA, ILL. FULL 1/2 PINT (all boldly emb on front)

Sunburst emb inside a diamond on back.....basketweave pattern emb around base....fluted teardrop panels around shoulder.....

Hand blown in mold.....hand tooled tapered lip with ring....clear....oval flask with straight sides....6 1/2\"tall.....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips, nicks or damage of any kind. A nice clean bottle with only one small patch of light inside haze in shoulder. I had only dug one other Jake Zeller flask, but I dont believe it had the sunburst diamond on back? This rare whiskey flask dates from the 1890s. The Court Place Tavern was built in 1871 by Jacob C.Zeller at 615 Columbus Street in Ottawa, IL. It is still in business today and called Zeller Inn. Interestingly enough, you can still see Zeller\'s initials, JCZ, in the mosaic tile on the side of the bar!
