This is a absolutely outstanding antique french 2 tonegilt bronze and metalfigural mantel clock with a french bell striking movement by Japy Freres
Circa - 1855
Case
The Clock has a superb classical figural design to it with a superb large gilt bronze ormolufront plate with various elebrate pierced embossed designs over it
The clock has a beautiful figural scene to the top of the case of a father and children which is of excellent quality and detail and has a beautiful bronzed look to it
The front plate of the clock has outstanding elebrate pierced scroll designs all of which are in excellent near mint condition with it having its original matt ormolu finish which looks absolutely stunning on display
To the side of the figure their is the embossed drum which holds the french movement which has a embossed scroll pillar on the side and a gilt bronze leaf vine on top which has its matching ormolu finish
The clock is of excellent quality and has a stunning beautiful display look to it and will take pride of place wherever it is placed

The Clock benefits from a white porcelain dial with black roman numerals and original black french handsThe dial is in excellent condition for age with no damage, the numerals are original andstill bright and vibrant
Movement
The Clock benefits from its original french 8 day bell striking pendulum movement which strikes the bell on the half and full hours counting the hours on the hourThe movement is very clean and in full working orderkeeping time and striking as and when it should
Comes with a french brass pendulum and new brass winding key
The movement has the makers stamp of Japy Freres impressed into the back

After the 14 days we offer a 60 day warranty on our clock movements which means if after the 14 day period if a fault is found within the clock mechanism then you can return it to us for it to be repaired in our workshops at no cost to you only return postage, this is limited to 60 days from the date of saleThe warranty excludes mainsprings and mainspring damage caused by forcefully overwinding and also excludes any setting up or balancing issues (A Professional/experienced person is recommended when first setting the clock up)
