An official bronze commemorative medal or medallion from the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, by Huguenin of Switzerland, with numbered COA. In my judgement it is in close to mint condition, but please take a good look at my photos and form your own opinion of its grade. The case is generally in good condition too, with just a few minor marks on the outside of the lid (again please see the relevant photograph). It appears to be starting to come apart at the hinges though.
Made from Bronze, Diameter 50 mm, Thickness 3.5 mm, Weight 58.4 grams, Mintage 19,760.
The obverse has a view of the port of Montreal from the river; above is the Montreal Olympic logo and below is the French legend \"XXIe Olympiade Montreal 1976\". In small lettering at the base are the medallists\' details \"Huguenin Switzerland\". The reverse has an aerial view of the Montreal Olympic Stadium. To my mind this is a much more appealing design than that of the Montreal Olympic Participation Medal.
