Beautiful Large 34x68 Sketch of a Woman _Ohio Artist Jewell Haley_Her Estate This piece is from the 1960\'s from a Covington, Ky estate sale. A former Art Professor/Teacher at Thomas More College, Jewell Haley had exhibited works at the Cincinnati, Ohio library shows held during the 1960\'s. This particular work is in my opinion this is a fine example of her talented work and I will attribute this piece to her (I purchased a number of her works at her estate sale, and I will guarantee that this work was done by Jewell Haley.). Haley is known for her colorful abstract works and this piece provides a good example of Haley\'s precision and talent. This piece was drawn on paper and attached toacid free board. It is in great condition, with a few wrinkles from gluing. Dates to the 60\'s. There is a full size mat for this piece. Shows overall toning.

This is indeed Jewell\'s work- it\'s the sketch study for the large oil painting she did of the same model. The model was Louise Okun, a friend and classmate of Jewell\'s at the Art Academy. The finished painting is done in oranges, blues, and yellows, and Jewell had it in her living room for years as one of her favorites. The sketch can be authenticated if you ever find the painting, but I lived with Jewell for years and know this sketch well.
