This is a beautiful old french violin, labeled:\"Emile Germain, à Paris 5. Faubourg Montmartre\"

The length of back is 359 mm. Full size. Only one repaired crack from the left f-hole to chin rest.

Two pieces back of beautiful maple wood, the ribs and scroll are made ofthe same material that is exceptionally beautiful, the top is made of a highquality spruce. The varnish is very rich and has a deep reddish color, only it has minorscratches and dents through use.
