Here is a really attractive and unusual antique 19th C white ironstone platter with a blue and red seaweed type border decoration. Platter measures about 15 3/4\" by 12 1/4\". It is in very good condition overall. There are two hairlines, each of which extends about 3\". There are a couple superficial flakes to outside edge. There is some minor glaze rubbing to outside edge. There are no other chips or cracks. There are a few tiny pits in the glaze. There is some very fine allover crazing. There are scattered areas of mild light brownish discoloration. There are a few areas on the underside of more apparent light brownish discoloration. There are some utensil marks visible on close examination. Platter is marked only with a couple impressed marks on back side which I cannot make out.
