Vienna Anno 1775The neck of this violin is grafted in that area attached to the fingerboard. It will need to be reset as the fingerboard is too low. Violin will also need to be set up to be played. Fortunately, it already comes with all the essential parts such as the endpin, the sadde, the nut and the pegs. It even has the soundpost in an upright position inside. All you need is a tailpiece and a nice set of strings. I will include a new Aubert bridge with this sale. This violin has bushed peg holes, wedged fingerboard, a couple of very tightly repaired hairline cracks on the top and a slightly warped area around the endpin. There are no open seams or open cracks on this violin.Among the notable charactersitics of this violin are its stocky figure (wide lower bout), beautiful sound holes, gorgeous dark color, semi-flamed one-piece back, and inlaid purfling on front and back. The inside is fully lined and blocked on all four corners.
