Up for offers isan awesome early 1940\'s Wilson model D256A wing back leather footballhelmet!All of theleather on this beast is in game used but great shape! It is soft and supple and still very strong! There are a few areas where there is some wear on the original finish but that\'s about it (see all photos). The hard shell crown of the helmet has the original factory white paint. There are colored marks from the opponents helmets but no damage. Other than that, it just has the usual wear you see on a 1940\'s helmet (see all photos). Man, if this beast could only talk the stories it would tell! It has a great shine and that old leather aroma we all know and love! All of the leather covered interior padding is present and is in great shape (see last 3 photos). All 4 of the inner suspension straps are present and firmly attached. The Wilson makers mark is on the center of the forehead. Marked on the back of the helmet is the model # and the size 7 1/8.
