Old Antique Victorian Britannia Silver Plate Spirit Kettle Sheffield made c1870. The makers mark, Ashdown & Sons is on the bottom on the Kettle with the No.6 & 861. It has a Really Nice Design and Shape, has been Nicely Decorated by Hand Engraving and has a Melon on a Leaf on the Lid. It stands on a 4 Legged Base which also been made with a Lovely Design and the Spirit Heater rests underneath on it. Nice to Display in a Cabinet or in a modern kitchen today. It is 14 inches or 36 cm in height and 9 inches or 23 cm handle to pourer. It has no leaks very clean inside and will hold about 2 3/4 pints or 1.6 litre of water. It is ready for use though most people like to Display today.
