Up for sale is a old antique early 1900s 1 pc back full size violin for restoration/setup. The nicely figured 1 pc. maple back measures 14 1/8 by 8 inches. There are no bassbar or soundpost nor any other cracks on the violin and the neck is solid. The pegbox is in good condition and the scroll has a small chip of wood missing on the treble side top (please check pics). The pegs turn smoothly and the fingerboard has some slight wear. The soundpost is loose inside the violin and there are no open seams. The violin is labelled as a \"Amati\". The violin is for restoration/setup. The violin has age related scratches/wearmarks on the varnish (please check pics). The violin will need a A and a E string. Please check pics. and email questions. More pics. available upon request.
