This offering is for an original circa 1915 US Naval Reserve Hat or Cap from the WWI era. The cap features brass cap buttons marked UOS NR and the original fouled anchor bullion hat badge. According to information on the Navy Reserve Centennial web site the buttons date to 1915 and were worn on the caps of Officers, Chief Petty Officers and Enlisted Men. The cap is also of the correct WWI period and is makers marked on the inside \"MAURICE L ROTHSCHILD MINNEAPOLIS MINN\" along with the original owners name H. S. Harris. The hat is made of olive green wool with black leather visor and original chin strap. There is wear to the visor, a small hole in the wool on the top and overall light wear in general. The hat measures 21.25\" in inside circumference which equals a hat size 6 3/4.
