Old Antique Violoncello
Label is present, perhaps paper in precarious condition and impossible to read, perhaps German.
Back measure 688 mm, perhaps 3/4 in modern scaleCracks on the front plate. Dents, dings, wear of varnish, seams are separating in areas. Seems that the top was off at some time in the past and badly glued. Needs cleaning and redone. Old repairs need to be revisited as I would do. I bought it for myself but have too many instruments to restore and can\'t keep them all. Nice golden brown amber varnish. Great selection of woods: narrow grain. This is restoration project for somebody who can and want to work on it. Pegs and end pin will be included.
As usual with any of the instrument: the biggest part of the description are the photos. Please review and ask if more photos needed in specific areas. I do not alter my photos by pixels or software. However every monitor or light in the room makes it look different. It looks more orange amber yellow while it is golden brown.
