This is an exceptional fine old masterviolin labeled: \"ENRICO MARCHETTI, PREMIATO CON 12 MEDAGLIE E DIPLOMA, D ONORE ALLE PRIMARIE ESPOSIZIONI, FECE IN COURGNE NELL ANNO 1892\".

This violin is ready toplay with good rosewood set up, new bridge and new strings. No cracks. The sound is rich, deep and powerful. Suitable for soloist. The length of back is 358 mm. The whole length is 591 mm.

Two pieces back of beautiful narrow flamed maple wood, the ribs and scroll are made of lightly flamed maple, the top is made of a highquality spruce. The varnish is very transparent and has a golden amber color, only it has minorscratches and dents through use.
