Here is a small gold and blue Grange pin or lapel pin, that features a gold colored sheaf of wheat on a blue background. On either side of the wheat are the letters P and H, with a gold banner going through the bottom of the wheat with GRANGE printed on it in blue. This is sort of keystone shaped, and the outside rim is in gold with the names of the original Grange members listed around it IRELAND. McDOWELL; SAUNDERS; TRIMBLE; KELLEY; GROSH; and THOMPSON. These names stand for the first Grange was Grange #1 in Fredonia, NY, when seven men and one woman co-founded the Grange: Oliver Hudson Kelley, William Saunders, Francis M. McDowell, John Trimble, Aaron B. Grosh, John R. Thompson, William M. Ireland, and Caroline Hall. The only one missing on the pin is HALL for Caroline Hall. On the back is PAT NO. D-173673. This pin is tiny, it measures just a tad bit over a half an inch. This pin has been worn but, not in quite awhile, it\'s been in a box in a drawer for years. Has some wear from use and age, minor wear. There is a dark spot on the back. The clasp works well, opens and closes easily. Great for the collector or Grange member. Postage will be 2.64 to the U.
