Here is a very attractive and unusual antique Historical Staffordshire style dark blue transferware plate featuring a design of hunters and hounds. Plate measures about 7 7/8\" diameter. It is in good condition overall. There is an old y-shaped hairline near the center which is not visible from the front. The plate has had quite a bit of use and there is some visible surface wear. There is a circular ring of wear to the glaze around the inner circle. There are some minor old glaze flakes and some glaze wear around the outside edge. There is some light brownish discoloration apparent on the back side. Marked with \"Clews Warranted Staffordshire\" impressed mark on back side.
