This fine antique drawing \"Portrait of a Man\" is by Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640). The drawing is trimmed when we bought it. There is a piece of paper cut out and glued to the back of the frame. The paper has writing of the title and a signature that matches P.P. Rubens.Besides the signature, the man in the portrait looks like a Dutch man; the style and the execution matches Rubens\'s work also. Please see pictures for details.
The drawing is so delicately drawn. The seated man\'s body is slightly turned away from the viewer. His hair, the facial features are very delicately depicted. It shows the artist\'s professional skills, not just a student\'s study. The portrait resembles a lot of Dutch/Flemish portrait of honorable and noble men. The lower right corner has a raised seal of an angel. The antique drawing is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, scratches, tears or other damages to it.
