Offeredis this elegant bolted urn or vase of sturdy porcelain china which has beenattributed to Old Paris or Paris Porcelain of the mid-1800s in France. Theelaborately sculpted mold of this urn has ornate gold trim all over the designand form.

Theurn has been glazed emerald green, with vertical lines of white enameling. The mold comes in two pieces with the pedestal screwed to the bowl.

Thefront is decorated with a painted scene reminiscent of Watteau’s rococo style. Theyoung couple appear together with the man kneeling at the lady’s feet,apparently asking for her favor. The lovers are framed in an idealized pastoralscene with green foliage in the background.

Theback of the vase is decorated with painted blossoms of different colors, in thetradition of Dresden Flowers.

Thispiece measures 11 inches tall (28 cm).

Itis in very good used condition with no chips or cracks. Gold trim in very goodcondition.
