For sale is a mid-century handmade Old Pawn Navajo hand stamped solid sterling silver concho belt by UITA 36!

United Indian Traders Association, officially established on September 13, 1931 for the expressed purpose of authentication of Indian crafts. This concho belt being stamped UITA guarantees the belt was completely handmade using silver of 900 (coin) or better, and entirely hand-made using no tool more mechanical than hand tools and vice.

The nine oval conchos measure 2-7/16\" long by 2-3/16\" tall. The buckle measures 3-11/16\" long and 2-9/16\" tall. The black belt measures 29.25\" long by 1\" wide, with five holes from 25.25 - 27.75\". The back of the buckle is stamped with the maker\'s registered hallmark UITA 36, (UITA registered stamps in use from 1946 to 1960s).

The entire belt weighs 332.9g.

The conchos and buckle have been tested and examined for purity and they are sterling silver, with copper backings.
