This is a Old Primitive Cloth Rag Doll Large Arms Hands Embroidered Features 17.5 Inches. This white cotton muslin cloth doll is cotton stuffed and jointed at the shoulders and hips. The legs are stuffed with something crunchy, possibly sawdust. She is folky and primitive with her large arms, mitt hands, and large feet. Each of her thumbs is soiled, possibly from being in the child’s mouth. Her face is simply embroidered with embroidery floss. She never had hair. Her neck is a little floppy from separation of the cotton stuffing. At one time, she was redressed in the striped dress, undies, brown-striped apron, and brown homespun checked cape. She has some light soiling and staining, as you would expect.
