Old VERY RARE early 1940\'s Original WWII ZIPPO steel case with Black Crackle finish lighter in the original box. 3 barrel hinge. Original 14 hole chimney. Lighter lid opens and closes with snap and is tight when closed. Finish is missing in a few areas - reference pictures. Original, insert with horizontal ribs on striker wheel. Silver & black striped box is nice with some wear on the corners etc. - reference pictures. Lighter bottom is rounded and is stamped \"ZIPPO\" with the Patent No. & Bradford, PA although all of it cannot be seen as it is covered by the original black coating. Needs a flint. Looks like the original felt. Insert is stamped Zippo with the Patent No. and Bradford, PA. A nice old rare lighter in nice as found condition and has not been messed with. Please reference all pictures for details & description, or ask questions. It is a vintage item, it is not perfect.
