OLD VINTAGE ANTIQUE MERRYTHOUGHT BINGIE DRESSED HIGHLANDER TEDDY BEAR c 1930:

Super rare 1930\'s Merrythought dressed Highlander Bingie bear.This rare dressed teddy bear was made by Merrythought in the 1930\'s as part of the Bingie range
of dressed bears that included a sailor, a busby wearing Guardsman and this bear, a Highlander.
These Bingie bears are extremely rare to find now, particularly if they are wearing most of
their original clothing and are in good condition as this bear is.This bear is 15\" tall from the soles of his feet to the tips of his ears with a jointed cloth
body mohair head and paws. He is wearing his original red felt jacket with yellow trim and
brass buttons and his rexine boots with white felt puttees/gaiters? with tartan trim. He also
has a tartan kilt which is a later replacement and would have worn a tartan cap and had
a sporran attached to his kilt but he has lost these now.He is in very good condition with tipped mohair which has slight thinning and a couple
of very small bare spots but I would estimate he has retained a good 95% coverage overall.
His cloth body is in excellent condition with no holes or damage and the joints all work well.
His jacket is complete with a couple of small light stains but no holes of damage and his
rexine boots are slightly worn but still intact. His eyes are vintage replacements but most
of his other original features are intact (apart from his sporran and cap) and he has
a celluloid Merrythought button in his left ear which dates him to the early 1930\'sPlease view all the photos, which can be enlarged to assess his condition for yourselves
