DESCRIPTION: Beautiful old or vintage hand sewn Geyi Miao Chinese ethnic minority child\'s hat. The exceptionally fine stitching is referred to as dazi, or Forofferden Stitch, and is on silk brocade, with embroidered edges, padded hand-woven cotton lining, and a Chinese coin or token and loop closure. Exact tribal people and age are unknown, but the hat appears to have some age to it. This is a wonderful piece for display.

SIZE/WEIGHT: The inside opening is about 6” x 7” more or less, and about 10” from the end of the brim to the back of head opening. Approximately 8.75” tall. 9.5 oz.

CONDITION: Very Good vintage with almost no wear of the fabrics, but there is soiling, and the red brocade has some stains.
