We took a trip to some unfamiliar shops this weekend and came home with some fabulous items – lots of antiques and uniques for you! I’ll be listing all week, so be sure to check back, too!

loveLoveLOVE this one. It\'s an older vintage (if not antique), hand painted tin piece. Labeled by the dealer as a coal bucket - it could be used as a kindling bucket, or so many other things - the possibilities are limited to your imagination! Made of tin, it has a base that keeps the bottom of the "bucket" section off the floor and a tall handle for carrying. The piece has a muted medium green background painted finish. I want to not that I believe that paint looks lighter in my photos than it does in person - it\'s from the light reflection off of the snow. There\'s decorative detail painted on the handle, and all around the top and base borders, and on one side is the painted scene of a man in uniform riding a white horse. He\'s carrying a sword and has a big plume coming off of his hat. There\'s stark trees in the background - the colors show mostly in shades of rust, black, white, blue and gold. The piece is in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally - totally sound and the handle is strong. The handle sways off to one side a little from use - see photo 13. It\'s hard to notice from the decorative painted front, as the side of the handle shows there, and it\'s not a huge sway, even as you can see from the side. The piece is amazingly shy of dings for an old piece of tin. I\'m showing you one that is to the upper right side of the painted image - it\'s shallow and about 1/2" long and line shaped. I can\'t find any other dings on the body - and I\'ve gone round and round - I could be missing something, but if I am, it\'s really hard to see! There are a handful of small shallow dings all around the bottom/base rim. There\'s spots of wear to the paint all over that are small, with more on the backside - the side opposite the painted side. See photos 16-18. I\'m guessing that side was against the wall or fireplace, and that\'s how it got its wear. There\'s metal showing in the wear spots, and some of those spots have surface rust on the metal - there\'s small spots of surface rust all over the piece. The inside of the piece, as you can see in my photo 23, is covered in surface rust that goes up into the body about 1". It\'s surface only, with no holes or eat throughs - the bottom shows no peeks of light when holding it up. Photo 21 of the bottom gives you a good idea of the color of the green as original. There\'s very little wear there - some spots of rust, but it\'s been well protected over the years. If you look closely, you will see that the bottom left edge seems to go off round ever so slightly - that\'s in photo 21. I didn\'t see it until looking at my photos, and I think it may be original as I see no dings, but see what you think. It\'s really really hard to notice and seen pretty much mostly from the underside when you have it turned over, not from the top. There are no other issues that I can see. It\'s dustydurtydusty and cobwebby and could use a good cleaning - I do not clean or mess with as found patina in any way. It measures 14" by 12 1/2" across the top, and the bucket alone is about 8" deep measuring from the bottom of the inside of the bucket to the sides of the bucket. It\'s 10 3/4" by 8 3/4" at the base/underside and it\'s 11 1/2" tall to the side of the bucket and about 20" tall to the top of the handle. It weighs 2 3/4 lbs. Because of its size, it will be considered an oversize box and expensive to ship to some locations. I can only ship USPS, please know, and also know that I charge shipping only. This oldee is so worth it, though. It\'s a beautiful piece of tole painting, and will do your primitive collection proud!

Customer Satisfaction is extremely important to me. If you receive an item and are not satisfied in any way, please contact me before leaving response.

Please ask if you have any questions, or feel free to inform me if you have any information about one of my listings. As with any of my items, if you ever need extra photos, let me know. My white stool, my rug and anything else that you see other than the item discussed are not included in the sale!

I’m happy to combine shipments for you. If you win an item and plan to offer on another, please hold to pay for the first item and request a combined shipping invoice once you’ve won the other item/s. I do ask that there be no more than 7 days from the purchase of the first item – I will invoice after 7 days as I cannot hold the items longer than that. Please know that some items cannot be combined, though, do to size, weight, or safety of the items. Most items set to ship in USPS FLAT RATE boxes; I cannot combine due to size restrictions. Please look at the shipping alternatives in the listings. I only mail USPS and pack in the best manner that we feel safe – I cannot change shipment methods after the close of an sale (i.e. rolling an old map to save money when I have it set to ship flat), especially if I feel the requested method is not safe. Again, I only ship USPS and charge actual cost to ship only. I ship within one business day of receipt of your payment, unless there’s a holiday that closes the post office, or I will notify you otherwise. As I shop for treasures on the weekends, I most often do not ship on Saturday.

Many of my items come from local rural estate sales and sales. They are coming right from the barn or attic to you - dust, cobwebs and all! I do not clean and polish before I sell – they are in the condition found, as you see in my photos, and I leave the patina exactly as it was when I bought the item. I do my best to photo and describe all thoroughly.

Please email me before offerding if you do not use PayPal, and we can discuss possible payment alternatives. Payment is due within 3 business days after close of sale.

With postage rates increasing regularly, I am shipping more and more items Parcel Select. Parcel Select travels by land or rail and the packages do not leave the regional post office until they fill up a bin going in the same direction (so the estimated delivery is truly only an estimate – not exact). The post office estimates 5-7 days, but it can go up higher, sometimes even 3-4 weeks in peak mailing times like the holidays. I always provide a tracking number, so you can see where your item is on any day.

Sales tax will be added for Illinois buyers.

…and thanks so much for looking, I appreciate having you as a customer!
