This is a very fine violin made possibly by Indri (Venice), labeled: \"Joseph Molinari fecit Venetiis 1726\".

The length of back is 357 mm. The whole length is 597 mm. The sound is very sweet and rich.

Two pieces back of beautiful flamed maple wood, the ribs and scroll are made ofthe same material that is exceptionally beautiful, the top is made of a highquality spruce. Thevarnish is very rich and has a dark reddish-brown color, only it has minorscratches and dents through use. Very interesting italian work after Indri, a little bit brutal scroll and f-holes. Nice inlaid purfling. The violin has some small, professional repaired cracks. No cracks to the sound post or bassbar. Lion scroll. New rosewood set up.
