This is aoriginal timepiece “Omega Factory” - one of the most known andrecognized Swiss brands that brightly reflects all canons of classicalSwiss watch school.
The astonishing timepiece featuresan ORIGINAL porcelain enamel dial that was professionally restored and now isin excellent condition. Over an original dial the layer of resistant blackprinting was piled up. The original face made in ‘day and night’ style features a 60minute checkered outer track border with Arabic numbering, Roman numbers, golden hands and a second’sdial with 60 second outer chapter and Arabic numbers.The re-painted dial is ‘OMEGA’ with trademark Omega symbolabove this.
This astonishing model oftimepiece has a four-piece, doublehinged case made especially forqualitative antique watch to protect the mechanism from dust and debris andto provide an extra layer of protection from shock or moisture.
Thebeautiful case was executed in Art Deco style- style that swept through the most fashionable circles at the beginning of XX century and captured the modernism mood ofthat time. The look was colorful, luxurious and opulent, with rounded curvesand corners, inside and out, based on geometric metric shapes. The back lid hasengraved beautifully in the form ofcrocodile leather. Besides of, the case edge is engraved in the form of theornament. On the back cover there isalso a beautiful free spot for themonogram. On the inner lid there is aninscription about prestigious exhibition at the Paris where Omega has won the Grand Prix andmedals of this prestigious exhibition.
The winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly.
This unique small watch is mechanical and completely original. The original movement is branded. The signed original movement with genuine jewels has serial number #4.127.568. The serial number on the movement as casereference number (#4.322.343) placesthe date of production of this piece at 1912.The signed original movement isin an excellent status which was very well saved, considering age of thiswatch.
This watch was remade for use as a wristwatch. Thiswas quite common, as it became “fashionably” for men to wear wristwatches.

HISTORY: The History of aSuccessful Company Omega was founded by Louis Brandt at La Chaux – de – Fonds, Switzerlandin 1848 as an assembly workshop. In 1879, after his death, his two sons LouisPaul and César started the in-house manufacturing so they started having totalproduction control. One year later, Omega moved into a small factory thatbecame a huge one when 12 months later they bought the entire building. In1903, they both died leaving the company in 24 years old, Paul Emile Brandt’shands. Because of the crisis that the Second World War left, he had to workreally hard in order to face the economic difficulties. He merged Omega withTissot calling the new company SSIH. The SSIH group continued to grow andmultiply under his leadership and, by the seventies, it had become Switzerland’snumber one producer of finished watches and number three in the world.
In1985, the holding company was taken over by a group of private investors underNicolas Hayek leadership. It was immediately renamed SMH (Société suisse deMicroélectronique et d\'Horlogerie). SMH had a rapid growth and success becomingtoday\'s top watch producer in the world. Named Swatch Group in 1998, it nowincludes Blancpain and Breguet.
