Beautiful Orient & Flume art glass paperweight. If my research is correct this piece was produced in February of 1996 and was number.79 out of 121 that had been produced as of that date. The total run was to be 250 pieces . This is a very nice piece of collectible glass By Gregg Held. See all photos as they are a complete description of the item on which you are making an offer. Held, Gregg – a senior artist at Orient & Flume in Chico, CA, died on November 14, 1999 of a heart attack while working in his yard. He was only in his mid-forties and it was a great loss to lose such an accomplished glass artist at such a young age.The first letter at the end of the numbers indicates the year using a reverse alphabet starting with Z. So Z is 1985. If you see the number 0715Z this weight was made in July 1985 and is number 15. Their normal run is 500 to 1000 but I have seen a run of as few as 25. Also it is important to know that they skipped the O so N would be 1996.I have sent an email to the company requesting confirmation of the research I have done. All offers thoughtfully considered.
