Fantastic & original Japanese woodblock print book titled NISHIN SEN TO GAHO, Sino-Japanese War Propaganda News by Beisen, November 8, Meiji 27 (1894), published in real time during the actual fighting. Volume measures 6 3/4 X 9 1/4 inches (closed) and has 52 pages, 19 of which have full color Japanese woodblock prints, including a rare 10 X 13 inch foldout print and a rare large 10 3/4 X 15 inch Map of Asia w/ China, Korea, Japan, & Taiwan. There are also two military campaign maps at the back of the volume to explain where the fighting was taking place. Original covers with woodblock printed Rising Sun and KIKU (Chrysanthemum) design, contents complete, fine impressions & colors, generally very good shape for the age & GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC. NOTE: This volume was too large for my scanner. The prints are UNTRIMMED and have FULL MARGINS.
