Precious Kewpie Positively adorable, large 12\" size, model No. 9713, antique composition, \"Kewpie\", jointed chubby doll, designed by famed illustrator and designer, Rose O\'Neill, circa 1925. With his big dark, side-glancing eyes, painted eyelashes, smiling \"watermelon\" mouth, molded eyebrows, button nose, chubby cheeks, high rosy colorand smiling expression he is sure to capture someone\'s ♥ heart! He has the wonderfully molded and painted curly blond hair with topknot and tufts of hair over each ear and at the back, jointed arms with starfish shaped hands, swivel neck and jointed legs with the cutest dimpled knees and flat feet to stand and wears his original blue, crisp cotton, rose printed sunsuit with white ribbon trim and pleated ruffle sleeves,original white leatherette shoes and socks as well as his original Kewpie wrist tag and fully illustrated complete box. He is in very good condition with no cracks, few very light paint craze lines and original stringing which will need to be tightened, no odors as he is from a smoke free home. He has had no repainting or repairs and will be a welcome addition to any doll collection. (cr shelf) Other vintage KEWPIE dolls in last 4 photos are not included andeach will be listed separately.
