Very Rare, The Works of William Hogarth (Including the Analysis of Beauty) Elucidated by descriptions, critical, moral and historical (Founded of the most approved authorities) to which is prefixed some account of his life by Thomas Clerk in two volumes London printed for R. Sholey, 46, Paternoster Row, by T. Davison, Lombard Street, Whitefriars. 1810. 2 volumes dated 1810, hardcovers covers are disconnected and in poor shape, text is complete and in good shape with light to heavy foxing throughout both books. Numerous engravings - too many to count. Are free of foxing due to protective inserts. Books measure approximately 6\" x 9 1/2\" x 1 1/2\". I have read part of these books, for each engraving there is a description and analysis of each print. Very rare books, covers and binding are in bad shape, text and pages are intact.
