Here is avery nice oldcommemorative medalmade of a white metal composition, in quitedecent collectiblecondition overall, measuring app.1 & 1/2\" across, with a plain edge. Thishistoric early campaignpiece has seen some use, with some minor imperfections and a little waviness nothing too severe, andI have not cleanedit in any manner,fourof the photos having been \"enhanced\" for clarity.The medal has been neatly holed at the top, and itis identified in De Witt asAQL 1860-12, where the book states it was struck by William H. Key of Philadelphia, with the white metal variety an original strike, other metals being restrikes.

The obverse features our martyred fourteenth president facing right, with \"Abraham Lincoln.\" around, a tiny \"Key F.\" at the lower right rim now worn.

The reverse has crossed fence rails, with The Peoples Choice1860 - Lincoln & Hamlin - Freedom & Protection\" around. An important and rare medal. $250.
