I have for sale an original Indenture for sale.
Date: March 25, 1865
For: 192 Square Feet of Land for Burial Plot
Church: The St. Peter\'s German Reformed Church, Spring Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania
Price Paid: $8
Purchaser of Burial Plot: Samuel Waggoner
I tried to do a little research to see if any of the Waggoner family from Perry County, PA died in the Civil War, but I didn\'t come up with anything. I found a Samuel Waggoner, but he was from and died in Ohio. There is a reasonable chance this was for a deceased Civil War soldier, because I purchased this item along with other Gettysburg/Civil War items. The quality estate this item came from feature several original Civil War items-photos, guns, sword, bullets, etc...
The shadow, bottom-right, on several of the photos is just my camera. The indenture is on cardboard, and wrapped in protective cellophane.
