Original 1928 Remington R293 Bullet R Hunter-Trader-Trapper Knife & Sheath:

This item includes a nice original 1928 Remington R293 Hunter-Trader-Trapper knife. These were sold as a promotion for $0.50 in 1928 with a subscription to Hunter Trader Trapper magazine. This measures approx 5-3/8\" overall and approx 9-9/16\" overall with master blade out. Bone handles in excellent condition. Blades do show signs of use, sharpening and some patina & scratches. Both blades have good snap open and closed. Master blade appears to open a bit more than when new. Nickle bolsters and bullet shield in good shape with some normal dings and scratches. Sheath appears handmade with military style belt hanger. (Former owner was a veteran, and likely carried this during his military deployment I\'m guessing). Very well made sheath fits the knife very well. This is a model R293 knife but is not marked with a number.
