The Widow\'s Mite is one of history\'s mostfamous coins....It was the focus of one of Jesus\' most heartfelt teachings.This original Prutah, commonly referred to as a \"Widow\'sMite\",actually circulated in the Holy Landduring the time ofJesus, 2,000 years ago and has survived through two millennia of turbulenthistory.

This coin is from the HolyLand and was minted during the reign of Alexander Jannaeus; King and HighPriest of Judea (103 to 76 B.C.). There is a very nice patina on thiscoin.As mentioned in Mark 12:41-44 & Luke 21:1-4, Jesus relates the story of apoor widow’s generosity:
