(SEE PHOTOS FOR CONDITION.)This is a blank variant cover edition of DC Comics\' Swamp Thing vol. 5, #14, with hand-drawn inked original art of the titular character on the cover by Cerebus the Aardvark artist Gerhard, who signed and donated it to the non-profit Inkwell Awards at the 2017 Heroes Con. PLEASE NOTE: there is atear and dent above the DC logo and minorcreases on cornersof the front cover—does not affect the art!

The Inkwell Awards (http://www.inkwellawards.com) is an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to educate, and promote the art form of comic-book inking, as well as annually recognize and award the best ink artists and their work. Now in its 10th year, the organization is overseen by a committee of industry professionals and assisted by various professional ambassadors and numerous contributors. They sponsor the Dave Simons Inkwell Memorial Scholarship Fund for the Kubert School and host the Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame Award.
