Excellent condition,C.W. slouch hat of the type popularized by Gen. Sheridan. And subsequently used by many troops in his cavalry corps. Beautiful beaver felt with attached officer false embroidered crossed sabers on the front and red Sheridan cavalry corps badge on the left side. Has general officer style high grade hat cord with one acorn lost.100% authentic.Silk lining complete and intact. Large adult size. No makers mark but of obviously officers quality. Period tintype shows soldier wearing exact hat (not included). This type of hat not made with a sweat band. Excellent addition to any C.W. collection. You will not be disappointed with this beauty.
