Original single chin scale forshako or helmet. Closest I found is French origin but can’t guarantee it Frenchor what time period. Scale is bent partly from the shrinking of the leatherbacking. Leather backing is stiff and totally dried out. Scale section issingle piece construction, not multi-layer. Could be restore if you need one orjust a reference for construction of an original item. Again not sure countryorigin. Chin strap buckle, rivets and rivet backing plate fully intact.Condition is little above relic condition, still a neat old vintage piece, 4.00shipping / handling
