You areofferding on an original mid-Century flared bowl from the studio of Italianceramic trailblazer Marcello Fantoni.

DESCRIPTION: This gorgeous “modern” master work fromMarcello Fantoni features wide flaring walls that create a voluminous interiorspace. The latter is adorned with acreamy yellow glaze that nicely overspills the lip. The glaze is “porous” and allows theunderlying clay body to break through in a multitude of assorted specks andstreaks. The exterior of the bowl belowthe rim is decorated with a watery dark chocolate glaze that breaks into anall-over pattern of vertical drips. Theyellow underglaze peaks through in places where the darker glaze is thinnest,creating a stunning tonal contrast.

Thishighly collectible and imposing work measures 14 ¼” in diameter at the rim andstands 5 3/8” high- and display nicely large.It is in mint condition- no chips, cracks or repairs- and is signed“Fantoni ITALY” on the interior of the base.
