This is a fine example of an original NY Officers Militia belt plate. Many of these were worn into the war by NY officers. This one is a beautiful sharp casting with the wreath and Old English \"NY\" integrally cast into the plate. Plate has a lightly stippled background and is complete with its keeper. Absolutely no repairs or damage on this plate. Both plate and keeper are bench marked \"46\". See photos for best idea of item and condition. Questions welcomed.
