This amazing 11” by 8 1/4”, 32 page booklet was designed by Herbert Bayer for General Electric as a way of showcasing how electricity would improve people’s lives. A New Science for a New World is a narrative brochure integrating Bayer’s innovative European modern use of silhouette photographs, typography, color and illustrations. Awarded the 1943 ADC award for distinctive merit; Art directed by Leo Lionni for N. W. Ayer and Sons. Included with this is a letter from GE’s Vice President to someone who requested a copy. The covers show wear and some soiling especially near the spine on the front cover. Someone wrote lightly in pencil on the back cover. The insides are in great condition. The letter has wear to the edges. A nice addition to your collection. This is being sold with FREE SHIPPING to the United States.
