RAREIVES 1694 O GAUGE PASSENGER SET
Madeby Ives in 1932 only, it features the 4-4-4 which is 12 and a quarterinches long . It features beige sides, dark roof and frame, steelbody, inside frame, rod connected drivers, two brass headlightsockets, two brass pantographs, whistle at one end, small windows onthe side at each end, two pairs of louvered ventilators, verticalbrake columns with wheel mounted on each end platform, brass railingsand three brass nameplates ( the center one featured a blue diamondherald) and Lionel latch couplers.
I have graded the engine to be in Very Good (C6) condition. It is alloriginal except for two of the four tabs that hold the cab onto theframe are missing. These are usually broken when you take the cab offto service the motor. The wheels are original and this loco has thecorrect Ives Corporation motor.
Ihave graded the 3 passenger cars numbered 1695 pullman car, 1696baggage car, and1697 observation car to be in Excellent (C7) condition. They are alloriginal with nice decals that read “ The Ives Lines” This is ahighly sought after rare set that would make a nice addition to yourPrewar collection!
