I am confused with this hat\'s age because of the decorative stitching on the tally along with the heavy embroidered ship\'s name. Most of the hats in my collection with the embroidered ship\'s nameare from the World War One or post WW1 era and the hats that I have with the decorative stitchingare earlier. Since there are two USS Maryland from this period it could be the cruiser ACR 8 Maryland or the battleshipBB-46 Maryland.Original item showing age and ware. Hat has moth damage and cuts, ware to embroidered work.
