This is an ORIGINAL FIRST PRINTING of this poster by Albert Brenet.
Albert Brenet was an artist-adventurer. Growing up in Le Havre, he was already entranced by voyages; in the early part of his career, he jumped on boats traveling around the world, painting in-situ, en plein air. In 1925, he accepted a travel grant to equatorial Africa, where he painted animals. It\'s unknown whether this piece was accomplished in 1952 or repurposed from 1925; by 1952 he was on his way to Japan for two years. However there\'s little doubt this image is true to life, the African hunter and his son sailing their prey, a leopard, to market.
