This is a superb, original British Army Officer’s Sam Browne Sword Frog from the Great War or earlier. The general appearance, wear, aging and style points to it dating from at least the First World War.It is made from the best quality heavy mid-brown cowhide and the fittings and buckles are heavy solid brass.It is in excellent used complete condition for its age. It has a wonderful well-used age patina. The leather is very supple and the polish to the faces remains – with a little age crazing. See photographs for detailed condition.
