The photograph is in good condition and nicely framed in a vintage mounting, with a full description of the photograph on the back.
Here is the transcript of the back:
\"The first German prisoners in the Argonne. Men of the Landsturm captured at 6 am September 26th, 1918 near Petite Boureuvilles.The American officers, left to right, are Lt\'s Freederick Exton, Ernest Howald, and W. M. Rice.On the right back of Lt Rice are Sargent Paveeler, and Fairchild. Lt Rice was killed only a week later.

Troops are from 111th Infantry.
