Original Made in the 1930\'s Used in WW2, German Fighting & Utility Trench Knife - Dagger!!!!
This knife was Made in Germany in the 1930\'s for Export and Civilian use. Anyone could purchase one of these knives and use it how they wished.
The type of Blade style and size was a common blade to Produce in Germany at that time, thin enough for a Brilliant Sharp Edge and just enough thickness to be very strong a great hunting knife.
The Blade is Hardened Carbon Steel and has a full tang. You will notice the Blade resembles the HJ Blade on the Youth knives. At the Start of the Second World War, Soldiers purchased them for Combat use and for Utility Purposes.
There were no more exports going out, as the Allies during the war, blockaded Germany for exporting and importing goods.
On the Ricosso you will Notice the 2 Stamps, Germany & Solingen. When you see that a Knife such as this one, that was for sure made in the 1930\'s andhas the Word Germany stamped, that means it was for Sale to anyone including world wide. At the time of the production of these knives Germany was at Peace, and Export & Import was Common Place.

Allot of the time the Soldiers that carried theseFighting knives formed the Handle for himself. He could put grooves in the Handle or form the Handle to his hand. This handle is untouched, as far as forming is concerned, rare to find them that way.
Also many times you will see the Blade cut down to a specific shape as well. What ever the Soldier that carried these knives decided to do with his Personal Fighting Knife.
I used a couple different Collectors reference books to acquire the information about the Fighting knife. Knowledge is the key to it all. I did find a couple of pages, I could have used as a comparison to the blade and handle type, and posted the photos as I have doneon other knives I have sold, I thought I would post more photos of the knife instead.

The Dagger as a whole is nice a tight. No Blade movement - Full tang, the Grips are solid - Hard wood. The Grips have on one side towards the blade a small crack from age, this does not make the blade or handles loose, it is in very solid condition.
This fighting knife would be perfect for display in a Collection or even could be carried and used, responsively.please see the photos.
This is a Combat knife and was Used, it was in the most of horrible circumstances. Some wear and tear is to be expected. When a War time Fighting knife has the Condition like this one does, you know it has been there, it has been used, it was apersonal item to the Soldiers that fought in Battle.It just doesn\'t get any better than that. Only if the Dagger could speak.

This Fighting Knife is Large, and Solid. Please use the photos for condition. This Fighting knife has been used in War time combat, so it does have scratches,old Patina that sticks to steel after a very long time - Age.
