This appears to be an original Japanese Imperial Army issued \"Octopus Arms\" rucksack pack. Webbing has had several broken straps repaired over its life. Whether or not this was done in theater during the war or in the years afterward is anyone\'s guess. The many straps were to secure everything from a tent fly and stakes, mess tin, e-tool, blanket, etc. Imperial military markings on the inside of the flap are faded but still legible. Metal fittings are intact on the straps, and I cannot find any holes in the material. There is some fraying along the edge of the flap, but it is cosmetic. Fabric is stiff and heavy duty. Why do you need this? Because it\'s f\'ing cool as hell, is chocked full of history, and may even have some Grudge style ghost attached to it (you never know with WW2 era kit). It also screams \"Tenno Heika Banzai!!!\" far better than your Toyota Camry, even with that stupid spoiler and coffee can of a muffler you have on it. Seriously, whether or not you are a collector of all things military and cool, some hipster who wants to carry your i-product(s) and aromatherapy candles to Starbucks in something other hipsters don\'t have, or maybe you just saw the words Japanese and \"Octopus arms\" in your search and that\'s your fetish, this is the rucksack for you. Besides which, the urban Wasteland of post-industrial America is a place where you may need a serious rucksack to pack you kit as you make your way to Barter Town. This would be an excellent candidate. Check the photos as they are the best description of the item. No hipsters, Starbucks, aromatherapy candles, i-products, or octopus arm themed Japanese animation, are in included in this sale.
