My Father served in WW2 and this is one of the items he sent back home from Okinawa. It has been in a closet with other items and not touched from 1945 until recently when he decided it was time to dug it out. So, I\'m sure this is actually from WW2 and not post war. It measures approximately 7\" long x 4\" high x 3\" wide. It\'s in beautiful shape. It looks as though there were loops on one end and someone (not dad) cut them off during the time it was in use. You can tell it was done a long time ago, probably by the soldier that wore it. Some of the writing is still visible on the inside of the lid. The leather is still pliable. See pics for details
