An original early war British Irvin Flight Jacket with a Coastal Command yellow hood. These jackets were worn by British pilots who flew over water. The yellow hood provided a recognition marker to help the rescue service locate the downed pilot. These jackets are rare here in the US and this one is in nice shape with no tears or leather rot. Everything is in working order. The main zipper looks to be a war time replacement. Both Sleeve zippers are original to the jackethowever the left sleeve is missing the leather zipper pull. The main belt is original as are all other items.This jacket is very nice for its age. The jacket is a size 4 with the following measurements;

Shoulder seam to shoulder seam........................21 inches

Shoulder seam down the sleeve to the end of cuff.....23 inches

Across the inches

Collar seam down the center of the back...............24 inches.

This is a WWII original jacket that is priced below the cost of a reproduction of the same jacket!

This jacket has been in my collection fora while and is a great example of a WWII British Flight Jacket. It is for sale in the US only.
