This sale is for an EXCELLENT Original WWII WW2 AAF US USAAF Pilot\'s Navigator\'s Wings - 1 1/2\" size Pin Sterling Silver. This seems to be a variant as it does not have the location made, but what appears to be at first look, an eagle above a Union Shield, however after looking closer, it is difficult to make out. It might be a shovel at the top? This is probably indicative that it is USA made. Not sure what the marking is but it also says STERLING. It is also a FLAT SOLID BACK Wings with no depression from the stamp in the center. I could not find any others with these characteristics. It has a wonderful patina. This was found at an estate sale years ago and has been in my collection. The closing mechanism and pin are perfect.
