Original World War II US Army wool overcoat. Size is marked 34R The manufacturer\'s tag, located inside the bottom hem of the lining shows a manufacturing date of March, 1941 (see photo).
This is a heavy wool double breasted overcoat with 8 gold Eagle buttons on the front (including the collar buttons) and two on the waist belt in back. It has two single button epaulets with miniature gold Eagle buttons. There are two deep slash pockets at the waist and a 3 button split tail in the back.
A very nice clean coat in very good condition. The only issue we note is a small stain on the back of the right shoulder (see photo). A previous owner\'s name and service number are written and stenciled inside on the green cotton lining (see photo).
